Today we’ll start off by cataloging the various local media we consulted throughout our day and considering what roles we expect each of them to play. I’ll then share a map of the local media in my own Philadelphia neighborhood, which will preview the breadth of media formats we’ll be examining this semester — and, ideally, spark some ideas as you prepare to share some of your own favorite local media next week. We’ll close by surveying our work together for the next 13 weeks.
